Chelsea sends message to EPL 2020-2021 Champions Man City

Manchester City have been crowned Champions of the Premier League for the 2020-21 season.

Pep Guardiola side were announced Champions after Leicester City defeated Manchester United 2-1 at Old Trafford on Tuesday evening.

The Foxes did City a favour in a game which Brendan Rogers needed to win as they are in the race to seal their third spot finish.

It's understood that Chelsea are currently behind Leicester and Foxes needed to open the gap. It was a good way for Leicester to respond after they fell to an embrassing 4-2 defeat against Newcastle last week.

Leicester City took the lead through Thomas after 10 minutes but Mason Greenwood equalised five minutes later.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer had made 10 changes in the game with a lot of his senior players given a rest.

Soyuncu header claimed to be the winner for Leicester City and Manchester City clinched the title.

Following the announcement, Chelsea football club have congratulated the Citizens with a post on their verified social media platform.

Chelsea will face Manchester City for the third time this season in the final of the UEFA Champions League later this month.

Thomas Tuchel's Blues have beaten City twice, in the FA Cup semi final and last week in the Premier League.
