Ex Bayern Munich star, Arjen Robben cries after he bags two assists for the first time in 7 months for his boyhood club, Groningen

Former Bayern Munich star Arjen Robben burst into tears after his was award the man of the match performance following his team's 4-0 in the Eredivisie today. 

Groningen thrashed Emmen for goals to nil away from as the Dutch international was inspirational to the victory. 

Following the 4-0 victory against Emmen, Groningen have moved up to 7th position in the Eredivisie table. They currently have 42 points and will be hoping for a strong finish at the end of the season. 

Robben was caught on camera after the game as he couldn’t control his emotions after winning MOTM with two assists.

According to reports gathered, It was his first start for seven months after a long-term injury. It was very emotional for the winger. 

If you recall that Robben signed for his boyhood club after he retired two years ago. He came out of retirement to sign for Groningen. 

It's understood that Robben hasn't enjoyed his return to football as he has suffered several injuries which has seen him miss a lot of games for Groningen.
