Jesse Lingard seems to have rediscovered his form ever since he made the move to West Ham. If you recall that Lingard linked up with his former manager David Moyes at West Ham in the January window.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer had previously left the Manchester United academy graduate out of the team due to his form.
Although, Lingard began the season with injury and he later contacted Covid-19. After he recovered, he approached the manager to allow him join West Ham on loan.
So far, Lingard has been inspirational to the Hammers, scoring four goals in four league games last month.
This performance has been rewarded with the Premier League player of the month of April.
Jesse Lingard goals has pushed West Ham up to fifth in the Premier League table, and they are already dreaming of playing in Europe next season.
It's also been gathered that Lingard has clinched the award for the Goal of the month of April. The forward picked up the award following his solo strike against Wolves.
Recall that Lingard scored a solo goal against Wolves after he collected the ball inside West Ham half and he raced passed every Wolverhampton player to beat the onrushing goalkeeper Rui Patricio with a fine finish.
Meanwhile, Newcastle boss, Steve Bruce has been named the manager of the month. Recall that the Magpies confirmed their Premier League status after they thrashed Leicester City.
