Chelsea defeated Manchester City in the final of the UEFA Champions League. The Blues lifted the trophy for the second time in their history.

Thomas Tuchel side will have Kai Havertz to thank following his first half goal. The Germany international scored his first goal in the competition after 42 minutes.

Chelsea went ahead to hold on to their lead and claim all victory as they stopped Manchester City from winning their first UEFA Champions League trophy.

Pep Guardiola also lost his talisman following collision with Antonio Rudiger after the Chelsea defender ran into Kevin De Bruyne will trying to stop him from receiving a pass.

Both players went down and were attended to by the medical team, but Kevin De Bruyne came out worse as he was substituted. On the other hand, Rudiger received a yellow card from the referee.
Meanwhile, Kevin De Bruyne has given an update on his injury. The Belgian has confirmed he has suffered acute nose bone fracture and left orbital fracture.

Kevin De Bruyne took to his Twitter page to reveal he has been discharged from the hospital and he will be fine and finally expressed disappointed in the defeat. 

De Bruyne Tweet reads: "Hi guys just got back from the hospital. My diagnosis is Acute nose bone fracture and left orbital fracture. I feel okay now. Still disappointed about yesterday obviously but we will be back."
