Milivojevic saw a penalty saved by Forster on the brink of half-time and Adams made him pay within 90 seconds of the restart, finishing from a deft angle after a clever set-piece routine. Ings was on the periphery for much of the game but his predatory instincts were on show again as he combined with Adams to toepoke past Guaita and kill the game off with 15 minutes to play.
Southampton rise from 17th to 14th with three games to play. They're just one point and one place behind Palace now.
