It was the away that took a quick lead under one minute after Benteke’s goal after just 67 seconds and Palace could have scored a few more, but Ramsdale was excellent in goal for United and made some fine saves to deny them.
However, they were eventually broken down and Eze doubled the visitors lead late on with a deflected strike.
Palace now move up to 13th in the table on 41 points and they will face Southampton next time out. Meanwhile Sheffield United are already relegated and will travel to Everton next weekend.
