Kessie failed to double Milan’s advantage after the hour thanks to a wonderful Szczesny penalty stop following a Chiellini handball, but that didn’t stop Pioli’s side from looking for the second goal that would provide some insurance.
Both teams had their fair share of chances, but Juve’s hopes were thwarted with 12 minutes to go, when lackadaisical defending allowed Rebic to strike at goal from outside the penalty area with nobody in his way.
The hosts’ slide didn’t stop there though, as Tomori notched his first goal for the club four minutes later; a wonderful header from a Calhanoglu free-kick delivery. While the match seemed closer than the 3-0 score line at times, there’s no concealing the fact that Juventus were nowhere near their best today.
