Benevento certainly fashioned their chances, with Insigne firing just over the bar from close range and Falque hammering a close-range shot which ultimately flew wide.
The win puts Milan second ahead of tomorrow, while Benevento remain 18th.
Milan travel to Turin to face Juventus next Sunday in an extremely important fixture for both sides’ Champions League hopes. Benevento visit Cagliari in a crucial relegation six-pointer.
