The final spot for European competition had to go down till the last game of season as Gunners were hoping to beat Brighton and Leicester City defeat Tottenham so that they can finish in seventh position.
But the race took another twist, Arsenal defeated Brighton 2-0 all thanks to Nicolas Pepe goals but Tottenham came from behind to beat Leicester City 4-2 at the King Power Stadium.
The result meant that the Gunners finished a point behind Tottenham who ended up in seventh place.
According to Partey, Arsenal will be able to fight for every game next season because they are not going to be playing in Europe.
Thomas Partey told Arsenal website:
"[Missing out on Europe] is disappointing, but now we have the opportunity to come back next season and fight for everything we can.
"I think we had their support today which was very beautiful. We were encouraged and when we were down they supported us, they pushed us up and at the end this is what we need. We are very grateful."
Thomas reportedly joined Arsenal for 45m pounds from Atletico Madrid last year. He has played 33 matches in all competitions this season.
The midfielder has also suffered a lot of injuries in his first season in the Premier League. But he believes that Arsenal will prepare for next season.
Partey added: "We had a good game and everybody gave their best, and at the end it’s part of the game, we have to keep working hard, we have to prepared, we have to end well and we did well, so we have to be prepared for the next season
