Twitter melts down after Roma appoint Jose Mourinho as Manager

Serie A side Roma have appointed Jose Mourinho as their new manager. It's been gathered that the Portuguese has signed a deal until 2024.

Mourinho was sacked as Tottenham Hotspur manager few weeks ago which saw Ryan Mason replace him as caretaker coach.

It appears that the former Chelsea boss didn't take long before he got another job, but this time in the Serie A.

It's a second spell for Jose Mourinho in the Italian league haven managed Inter Milan and won the treble.

A Roma statement read: "The club are delighted to announce an agreement has been reached with Jose Mourinho for him to become our new head coach ahead of the 2021-22 season."

Mourinho will now replace Paulo Fonseca who is expected to he step down at the end of the season.

Meanwhile football fans have since taken to Roma official Twitter handle to express their thoughts on the appointment of Mourinho.
