According to Daily Mail Online, Arsenal will been reshuffling their squad in the summer following a disappointing campaign.
Recall that Mikel Arteta side crashed out of the Europa League in semi final stage after they failed to defeat Villarreal. Also, the Gunners finished the season in 8th position and will not be play any European club competition next season.
Arsenal have placed the centre back position as one their priorities after David Luiz left the club as a free agent. Arsenal are left with Rob Holding, Pablo Mari and Gabriel Magalhães who will not be available in the beginning of the 2021-2022 season because of the Olympics.
According to the Guardian, Brighton have agreed Arsenal's £50m bid for the player. Arsenal had an initial £40m bid turned down several days ago.
The North London side hope to complete the deal this weekend after agreeing personal terms with the 23-year-old who is currently participating in the European Championship with England.

Apparently, Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano confirmed that the deal for the defender is imminent.
