Barcelona have confirmed resigned Emerson Royal from Real Betis after two years with Seville club

Barcelona have completed the signing of another player as they continue their preparation ahead of next season. 

Barcelona finished the 2020-21 season in third place and seems the Camp Nou outfit are planning to strengthen the squad. 

Early this Wednesday morning, Barcelona announced the signing of Emerson Aparecido Leite de Souza otherwise known as Emerson Royal. 

The Brazilian full back return to Barcelona after spending two years at Real Betis. Barcelona have activated the buy back clause in Emerson contract. 

Emerson has signed a long term contract with the La Liga club in a deal worth 8m Euros. 

Emerson made 79 appearances in two and a half seasons at the Seville club. The Brazilian has scored five goals and created 10 assists with Betis.

He becomes Barcelona third signing this week after Sergio Aguero and Eric Gracia  have joined the club from Manchester City as free agents.
