Georginio Wijnaldum has signed for Paris Saint-Germain as a free agent

Former Liverpool midfielder has finally completed his move to join Ligue 1 giants. 

Georginio Wijnaldum left Liverpool at the end of the season after he turned down a an extension contract with the Anfield outfit. 
The Dutch international has joined Paris-Saint Germain on a free transfer. 

After Wijnaldum left Liverpool, it was suggested that he will sign for Spainish club, Barcelona. But Mauricio Pochettino and Paris Saint-Germain were able to convince the captain of Netherlands national team. 

Wijnaldum will be representing Oranje in the upcoming 2020 Euro which is expected to kick off on June 11th. 

The former Newcastle star revealed he joined Paris Saint-Germain because he wanted a new challenge. 
Wijnaldum said: "Signing for Paris Saint-Germain is a new challenge for me. I'm joining one of the best squads in Europe and I want to bring all my desire and commitment to this ambitious project.

"Paris Saint-Germain have proved how good they are in recent years and I am convinced that together, with our supporters, we can go even further and higher."

Wijnaldum joined Liverpool from Newcastle in July 2016. He went ahead to play 237 times for Liverpool during his five-year spell at Anfield. He won the Champions League and Premier League with Liverpool.
After he completed the deal, Liverpool labeled the midfielder a club legend.
