'Thank you, I won't give up' - Eriksen release first statement since He collapsed

Christian Eriksen has released his first statement since suffering a cardiac arrest during Denmark's Euro 2020 game with Finland.

Recall that the former Tottenham midfielder collapsed on Saturday afternoon and needed an urgent CPR to revive him after th game was suspende. 

Eriksen fell down without any challenge just before half-time and after 13 minutes of CPR he was taken to hospital in a stable condition.

Eriksen thanked fans and vowed not to give up in a short following a released to Gazzetta dello Sport via his agent.

'Thank you, I won't give up. I feel better now - but I want to understand what's happened,' he said.

'I want to say thank you all for what you did for me.'

'Now he just has to rest, with him are his wife and parents,' Eriksen's agent said.

'He will remain under observation. But in any case he wants to cheer on his teammates against Belgium.
