Dick Advocaat becomes the new coach of Iraq national team. The 73 years old is expected to lead them in the 2022 World Cup qualifiers.

Recall that Dick Advocaat managed the Dutch side Feyenoord between 2019-2020. He once managed English Premier League side, Sunderland in 2015 before he left to join Turkish side Fenerbahce a year later.

Advocaat was successful as a football player and as a coach, including three stints with the Netherlands national team.

He has coached a number of clubs in the Netherlands and abroad (including the Russian club Zenit Saint Petersburg, with which he won the 2008 UEFA Cup Final).
