Real Madrid fans will have to wait a little longer for their new signing debut at the club. The Los Blancos have confirmed that David Alaba has test positive for coronavirus.
Recall that Alaba, 28, joined Real on a five-year deal this summer after his contract expiration with Bayern Munich.
The defender has been handed jersey number 4,which was previously worn by former captain Sergio Ramos who has departed for Ligue 1 side, Paris Saint-Germain.
A brief club statement read: “Real Madrid C. F. confirm that our player David Alaba has tested positive for COVID-19.”
David Alaba has been in self isolation and will observe the necessary prcodeure for the next few weeks.
