Pierre-Emerick Has recovered from Covid-19 ahead of Chelsea's game this evening
Arsenal have confirmed the return of their captain ahead of their London derby today. The Gunners were without their captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang during their match day one game against Brentford.
Recall that the Gunners lost to the newly promoted championship side last weekend.
Mikel Arteta missed four senior players against the Bees due to positive Covid-19 test. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang along with Alexander Lacazette, Willian and Runarsson missed Brentford game after they tested positive for coronavirus.
Meanwhile the former Borussia Dortmund star has recovered from Covid-19, he was spotted in training at the London Colney on Saturday afternoon.
Aubameyang is expected lead Arsenal’s attack against Chelsea on Sunday. The game is expected to kick off at 4:30pm GMT.
The 32-year-old striker took to his verified Instagram page (@auba) to express his excitement towards his return to training. He captioned the post, "Back out there."
ARSENAL'S INJURY LIST:
Willian, Alexander Lacazette and Runarsson haven't recovered from Covid-19, they are still isolating.
Arsenal will be without Gabriel Magalhães, Eddie Nketiah and Thomas Partey. The three players are currently recovering from injuries. They are expected to return next month after the international break.
