Joe Willock have completed his move to Newcastle for £25m from Arsenal

Arsenal have announced the departure of their midfielder ahead of the 2021-2022 season. 

The Gunners have been active in the transfer window. Mikel Arteta have added Nuno Tavares from Benfica, Albert Sambi Lokonga from Anderlecht and Benjamin White from Brighton and Hove Albion.

Recall that Arsenal finished eight last season because of some poor performances.

The Gunners are preparing for their opening game of the season against Brentford.

Arsenal have confirmed that Joe Willock has completed his permanent deal to Newcastle.

The English international has joined Newcastle from Arsenal on a permanent deal for £25m. Recall that Willock had a successful loan spell with the Magpies last season. He scored seven Premier League goals in seven matches for Steve Bruce side.

After he signed a long term deal with the Magpies, Willock said: "When I left here it felt like I left a piece of me so I always had that thing in the back of my head that I want to come back here."

The 21-year-old is Arsenal's academy product, he arrived the club at four years old. Willock signed his profesional contract with the Gunners in 2015 and he debut in September 2017, during the Gunners League Cup win over Doncaster Rovers.
Joe Willock will wear jersey number 28 at Newcastle United.
