They led 1-0 at the break, thanks to an excellent Correa strike, but were pegged back when Llorente handled the ball in the box and Celta were awarded a penalty following a VAR review.
Celta pulled equaliser after Aspas converted from the spot, but Correa grabbed his second of the game just five minutes later to send Atletico back into the lead.
During the stoppage time, both teams were reduced to 10-men following a coming together between Mallo and Hermoso, which saw both players receive straight red cards.
Celta will be hoping to pick up their first points of the season next weekend, when they face Osasuna. Meanwhile Atletico face Elche next time out.
