New PSG signing, Lionel Messi receives "warm embrace" from Kylian Mbappe inside the gym (Photos)

Lionel Messi has completed two years deal with Paris Saint-Germain as a free agent. The 34-year-old inked the deal which is expected to run until 2024 with an extension for another year.

Recall that Barcelona announced that Lionel Messi will not return to the club due to "economic" and "financial" obligations.

Lionel Messi left Barcelona after he guided them to finish third in the La Liga table and they also won the Copa del Rey trophy last season. 

On Tuesday, Paris Saint-Germain unveiled Lionel Messi at the Parc des Princes. He was handed the jersey number 30.

Paris Saint-Germain are preparing for their Ligue 1 game against Strasbourg this weekend. Mauricio Pochettino side set to play their first home game of the season. 

Earlier today (Thursday August 12th 2021), Lionel Messi was pictured in training for the first time. He was seen talking to his new team mate Kylian Mbappe at the gym. 

Recall that the Argentine international won the 2020 Copa America with the Albiceleste. He guided Argentina to clinch the trophy after they defeated their South American rival Brazil in the final last month.
