Sergio Aguero, 33, is a striker who currently plays for Spanish club Barcelona and Argentina national team.
The Argentine forward completed two years deal to Barcelona on a free transfer from Manchester City this summer transfer window.
Barcelona have confirmed that Sergio Aguero will miss the next ten weeks due to injury. The former Atletico Madrid star injured his calf during training on Sunday. Aguero was ruled of Barcelona's 3-0 win against Juventus in Joan Gamper Trophy match.
The Blaugrana have reported that Aguero could miss nine domestic fixtures (Real Sociedad, Athletic Club, Getafe, Sevilla, Granada, Cadiz, Levante, Atletico Madrid and Valencia.) He will also miss the few games in group stage of 2021-22 Champions League in September. But he will return ahead of their "El Clasico" clash with Real Madrid on October 24.
Barcelona confirmed in a statement on the club's official website: "Tests carried out on first-team player Kun Aguero have confirmed a right calf injury. He will be out for around 10 weeks."
Ronald Koeman's side kick off their opening game in the league against Real Sociedad on August 15th.
