Earlier today, Jose Mourinho completed the transfer of Tammy Abraham. The England international has joined Roma for £34m. He reportedly signed five years deal with the Stadio Olympico outfit.
Jose Mourinho who is the new manager of Roma has signed Tammy Abraham after Edin Dzeko left the club on free transfer to join Inter Milan.
Recall that Tammy Abraham finished the 2020-21 season as Chelsea’s top scorer with 12 goals in all competitions.
Abraham previously played in the Championship with Bristol (2016–2017), Swansea City (2017–2018) and Aston Villa (2018–2019).
Roma has handed the 23-year-old jersey number 9 which was vacated by Eden Dzeko.
Tammy Abraham has been unveiled to the fans and media this afternoon, he was later spotted at the training ground.
Jose Mourinho is preparing his team for their Serie A opening game against Fiorentina at the Stadio Olympico on August 22.
"You can sense when a club really wants you - and Roma made their interest clear immediately," said Abraham.
"Roma is a club that deserves to be fighting for titles and trophies. I've had the experience of winning major trophies and I want to be in those competitions again - so I want to help this team to achieve that and get to the level where Roma should be.
