The Gunners have lost their last two games in the Premier League. Recall that Brentford defeated Arsenal on opening day of the new season before Chelsea recorded 2-0 win last week.
Mikel Arteta will have to motivate his players ahead of their second round fixture against West Brom who were relegated to the championship last season.
ARSENAL'S TEAM NEWS:
The Gunners have been boosted with the inclusion of their new signing, Martin Odegaard. Recall that Norway international joined for £30m from Real Madrid on permanent deal. He has been cleared to face West Brom after he missed Chelsea Game.
On availability of Odegaard, Arsenal's statement read: "Martin has now received full clearance to play and is available for selection."
Arsenal has also confirmed that Kieran Tierney and Gabriel Martinelli have resumed back to training. The two players were substituted in the Chelsea game. Kieran Tierney and Martinelli suffered cramps and they have recovered.
Arsenal's striker Alex Lacazette is now back in full training. Recall that the French forward tested positive for Covid-19 two weeks ago. Lacazette contacted Covid-19 along with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Willian and Runarsson.
Hector Bellerin has also recovered from thigh problem
ARSENAL'S ABSENTEES
The Gunners will be without Gabriel Magalhães against West Brom. The Brazilian defender injured his right knee while representing Brazilian at the Olympics.
Thomas Partey is still recovering from ankle injury he suffered during the friendly match against Chelsea on 1st of August.
Eddie Nketiah is expected to be back in training in early September. While Benjamin White is self isolating after he tested positive for coronavirus last week.
