Arsenal Announce Takehiro Tomiyasu Shirt Number

Arsenal have announced shirt number of their sixth summer signing. 

Takehiro Tomiyasu is a professional footballer who plays as a centre-back or right-back for Japan national team. 

Recall that the Gunners completed transfer of Takehiro Tomiyasu from Bologna for £19.8m on transfer deadline day. The 22-year-old has signed a long term deal with the Gunners.

The defender is expected to wear jersey number 18 shirt at the Emirates stadium. Takehiro Tomiyasu is currently representing Japan in the ongoing 2022 World Cup qualifiers. 

Arsenal confirmed his shirt number with a photo of Takehiro Tomiyasu Arsenal’s jersey earlier today.

This summer transfer window,  Mikel Arteta signed Nuno Tavares from Benfica, Albert Sambi Lokonga from Anderlecht, Ben White from Brighton and Hove Albion, Martin Odegaard from Real Madrid and Aaron Ramsdale from Sheffield United.

The Gunners are currently bottom of the Premier League table after they lost all three games in the month of August.
