Former Barcelona legend has taken to his social media space to share never seen images of him playing for the club's academy. 


Andrés Iniesta is a professional footballer who plays as a central midfielder and is the captain of J1 League club Vissel Kobe. 

The 37-year-old took to Twitter handle and uploaded snapshot of his La Masia certificate, which revealed his identity. 


Recall that Iniesta came through La Masia, the Barcelona youth academy. He made his first-team debut aged 18 in 2002.

The Spanish midfielder who is regarded as one of the best during his era played an integral part of the Barcelona sides that won two historic trebles in 2009 and 2015. 

He celebrated his 25th anniversary of joining the Spanish club academy as a youngster. He also posted his throwback snap of himself in Barcelona shirt. 

He captioned the post: "25 years ago I took one of the most important steps of my life arriving at La Masia. And so began my wonderful and special adventure."
Iniesta won 35 trophies, which includes nine La Ligas and four UEFA Champions League with Barcelona. After twenty-two years at Barcelona, Iniesta signed for Japanese club Vissel Kobe in 2018.
