Chelsea settled their qualification into the fourth round tie after victory against Aston Villa following a penalty shoot out.
Timo Werner had given Chelsea the lead after 54 minutes. Germany international has had minimal service, Werner was quick to thank James for his goal, following time to pick his pass, and his floated cross was headed home by Werner.
Meanwhile, Villa equalised in the 64 minutes after Archer heads home Cash's cross to draw Villa level,Chelsea fell asleep at the back, and they were punished as Archer headed into the roof of the net.
Ashley Young and Nakamba missed from the spot, but Chilwell's miss gave Villa a glimmer of hope.
In the end, it wasn't enough, and successful spot-kicks from Lukaku, Mount, Barkley and James get the job done for Chelsea.
