Everton defeated Norwich 2-0 at the Goodison Park on Saturday evening clash. The Caneries have continued to struggle in the league since their promotion from the championship.
Everton took the lead through Townsend's first-half penalty, given after a VAR review, before Doucoure doubled the Toffees' advantage in the 77th minute after being played in by Gray.
This loss means that Norwich remain bottom of the table with no points. Everton face Manchester United at Old Trafford next, while Norwich travel to Turf Moor to play Burnley.
