Takehiro Tomiyasu set to miss Arsenal's game against Norwich City

Arsenal set to host Norwich City this weekend in the Premier League. The Gunners are currently bottom of the Premier League table after they lost all three games in the month of August.

Mikel Arteta side have started their campaign with three defeats against Brentford, Chelsea and Manchester City.

The Gunners host the newly promoted side, Norwich on Saturday. The game is expected to kick off at 3pm GMT. 

Meanwhile, Mikel Arteta has confirmed that the club's new signing is yet to receive his work permit. 


Takehiro Tomiyasu is a professional footballer who plays as a defender for Premier League club Arsenal and Japanese national team. 

The Japan international joined the Gunners from Bologna on transfer deadline day. 

Arteta said: “We need a work permit first. The club is working hard to try and achieve that in the next couple of hours.

Arsenal have already signed Nuno Tavares from Benfica, Albert Sambi Lokonga from Anderlecht, Ben White from Brighton and Hove Albion, Martin Odegaard from Real Madrid this transfer window. 

Arteta added: “Tomiyasu has the ability to play anywhere in a back four. He gives us different qualities in that right back position. He brings qualities that we didn’t have in the squad.”
