Mohamed Salah put the Reds in the lead after 18 minutes before Sadio Mane doubled the advantage just before half-time.
Liverpool continued to control the match after the break and extended their lead when Salah getting a brace after he slotted home his second goal of the evening after some more incredible work from Curtis Jones.
Jurgen Klopp’s men conceded a goal when Porto Mehdi Taremi's low header beat Alisson in the 74th minute. But Roberto Firmino who came into the game scored his first goal just 10 minutes after coming on as a substitute following a second error of the evening from Porto goalkeeper Diogo Costa.
