Barcelona have sacked Ronald Koeman after Barcelona's shock 1-0 defeat to Real Vallecano

Barcelona have decided to pull the plug on their under pressure manager following a disappointing start to the 2021-2022 season.

Ronald Koeman has been sacked by Barcelona after overseeing their worst start to a season since the 1987-88 campaign.

Recall that Barcelona suffered a 1-0 defeat against Real Vallecano on Wednesday night. RADAMEL FALCAO scored the only goal of the game.

Koeman side are currently 9th in the La Liga table with 15 points, losing 3 drawing 3 and won 4 games so far.

If you recall that Koeman also lost the first leg of the El Clásico against rival Real Madrid at Camp Nou. Goals from David Alaba and Lucas Vasquez sealed the win despite Sergio Aguero late consolation.

According to Marca, Barcelona will now look to replace Koeman with club legend Xavi Hernandez, currently with Al Sadd in Qatar, the favourite to take over.
