Ligue 1: Lionel Messi suffers first defeat as Rennes shock PSG 2-1 (Highlights) 2021-2022

PSG suffer their first defeat of the season as they are beaten 2-0 by Rennes away from home on Sunday afternoon clash. The home side took a surprise lead on the stroke of half-time, with Laborde firing the home side in the shock lead. 

Rennes double their advantage in the second half, with Laborde this time turning provider, as Tait finished off a quick counter, to make it 2-0. 

PSG struggled to get going after the break, but did manage to get the ball into the back of the net. Kylian Mbappe's goal was ruled out by VAR for offside.

This victory moves Rennes up to seventh in Ligue 1, while PSG remain top, but their unbeaten run comes to an end. Rennes will travel for a trip to Metz while PSG will  face Angers after the international break.
