Manchester United Star Rafael Varane set to miss several weeks after suffering groin injury

Manchester United have confirmed defender Raphael Varane has suffered a groin injury on international duty with France.

Recall that the 28-year-old limped out in the first half of Les Belus' Nations League final victory against Spain on Sunday where they lifted the UEFA Nations League trophy at San Siro. 

It's been gathered that Varane will be out for several weeks. The French international joined Manchester United this summer transfer window from Real Madrid. 

'Raphael Varane sustained a groin muscle injury in the UEFA Nations League final and has commenced rehabilitation at the club,' a club statement read. 'He will be out for a few weeks.'

Manchester United will face Leicester City this weekend. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer side will be hoping for a positive result after their 1-1 draw against Everton two weeks ago.
