Paris Saint-Germain star picked the best player in the 2021 Ballon D'Or Award which went down at Théâtre du Châtelet on the 29th of November.
The 33-year-old was crowned the winner ahead of Bayern Munich Robert Lewandowski who came second and Chelsea's Jorginho in third place.
The Argentine international has taken to his social media space to express his excitement after he was crowned the men's best player.
In a post he shared on his Instagram page, Messi dedicated his award to the Argentine football Federation and former club Barcelona friends and his team mates.
Messi stated that winning the award is collective effort from the team.
He captioned: "Although I always put the collective forward, I cannot hide my joy at having been able to win another Ballon d'Or. I want to thank you and dedicate to all my colleagues and @afaseleccion staff for the beautiful year we have lived BRERA Iso those I had at @fcbarcelona and those at And of course to my family and friends, as well as to all the people who support me, who are next to me, take care of me and make me perform every day: without all of them this would never have been the same possible.
