Paris Saint-Germain were dealt serious injury blow after their talisman Neymar was stretchered off after suffering a horror ankle injury in Sunday's clash with Saint-Etienne.
Mauricio Pochettino side came from a goal down to defeat Saint Etienne 3-1 with Lionel Messi providing a hat-trick of assist for Marquinhos (2x) and Angel Di Maria.
The Brazilian forward writhed around in agony after his ankle appeared to give way following a tackle from a Saint-Etienne player late in the second half.
After the game, Neymar took to his social media space to share his disappointment in the injury which could rule him out for months.
He captioned: "Let's recover, unfortunately these setbacks are part of an athlete's life. Now that's what you have, lift your head and let's go 🔥🔥🔥 I'll come back better and stronger."
Meanwhile, Neymar is ruled out for PSG's next Ligue 1 outing against Nantes on Wednesday.
