Serie A: Inter settles for 1-1 draw against AC Milan in the derby (Highlights) 2021-2022

Calhanoglu, De Vrij score,Lautaro misses penalty as Milan derby end in draw at the San Siro stadium. 

The first Milan derby of the Serie A season ends in a 1-1 draw between Milan and Inter at San Siro.

 Hakan Calhanoglu fired Inter ahead from the penalty spot after he was brought down by Franck Kessie. Milan responded as Stefan de Vrij turned Sander Tonali's free-kick past Samir Handanovic. 

The Nerazzurri then spurned the opportunity to regain the lead when Lautaro Martinez saw his strike saved by Cirprian Tatarusanu. Both teams missed a host of good chances in the second half, with Alexis Saelemaekers coming the closest when he was denied by the post in the dying minutes. However, neither side could force a winner and were forced to share the spoils.
