Arsenal dumped Sunderland out of the League Cup with a 5-1 victory against the League One side at the Emirates stadium on Tuesday night.
Eddie Nketiah was the star man of the match with a clinical hat-trick to clinch semi final spot for the Gunners.
The forward turned in from close range to open the scoring after Rob Holding's header was palmed into his path and Nicolas Pepe soon doubled the hosts' lead.
But Sunderland to hit back when Nathan Broadhead coolly clipped over the onrushing Bernd Leno from Elliot Embleton's superbly-weighted pass.
Arsenal made it 3-1 when Nketiah cleverly turned in a low Nuno Tavares cross straight after the break. to re-establish the lead.
The 22-year-old completed his first ever career hat-trick when he slotted home beyond goalkeeper Lee Burge after Nicolas Pepe's pass.
Meanwhile Arsenal's 18-year-old debutant Charlie Patino then capped a superb night for the Gunners with an injury-time fifth at Emirates Stadium.
