It's been gathered that Chelsea will face Tottenham in the Carabao Cup semi-finals after the London rivals both came through tough ties on Wednesday night.
Recall that Chelsea recorded 2-0 win over Brentford while Tottenham Hotspur defeated their London rival West Ham 2-1 in front of their Spurs fans.
In the other draw, Arsenal will host Liverpool at the Emirates stadium. The Gunners clinched their semi final ticket after they thrashed League One side Sunderland 5-1 on Tuesday night with Eddie Nketiah scoring his first career hat-trick.
Jurgen Klopp came from behind to beat Leicester City after a penalty shoot out. It was Takumi Minamino who stretched the game to penalties after his stoppage-time equaliser.
Jamie Vardy scored twice in the first half but Oxlade-Chamberlain pulled one back before James Maddison extended Leicester advantage. But Diogo Jota made it 3-2 in the second half before Minamino 90th-minute equaliser.
The first legs of the semi-final ties are due to be played on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 and Wednesday, January 5. Chelsea and Arsenal will host the first games, with the reverse ties held at Tottenham and Liverpool.
While the second legs will take place the following week on Tuesday January 11 and Wednesday January 12.
