The players were spotted at the London Colney training center this Wednesday afternoon ahead of the match on January 1st 2022.
1. Mikel Arteta absent from training due to Covid-19
Arsenal's coach Mikel Arteta wasn't in attendance at the training this afternoon. He is currently self isolating after he tested positive for coronavirus.
It's been gathered that Arteta assistant took charge of the session and he's expected to be on the touch line when they face Manchester City.
2. Albert Sambi Lokonga recovers from Covid-19
The Gunners have been boosted with the return of the Belgium international. If you recall that Sambi was among the players who contacted the virus but he seems to have recovered.
Albert Sambi Lokonga was seen moving freely on the ball this afternoon in training as he builds his fitness for the game coming up.
3. Young Charlie Patino dazzles in training
18 years old Charlie Michael Patino is one of the shinning stars from the Arsenal's academy this season. The youngster scored on his debut for Arsenal in their league Cup quarter final against Sunderland last week.
Patino was also included in Arsenal's match day squad that thrashed Norwich City 5-0 on Boxing day.
