It was a brilliant first half for the hosts with Saka putting them ahead. City weren't at their best for large parts of the game but found a way back into it after the break when VAR awarded them a penalty which Mahrez fired home.
The Gunners were reduced to ten when Gabriel Magalhães received two yellow cards in two minutes, the first for scuffing the penalty spot before he blocked Jesus' run which saw him sent off.
Rodri then scored the winner from close range in stoppage time to seal the three points.
