Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has taken to his social media space to pen an emotional farewell to the fans of Arsenal football.
It's been gathered that the Gabon international has completed his move to Barcelona on a free transfer this January window.
Although, Barcelona are yet to confirm the deal but he has completed his medical an was spotted in training with his new team mates.
Taking to his verified Instagram page (@auba), he appreciated the fans for the support since arriving four years ago.
He captioned: "To the Arsenal fans,
Thank you for making London home for myself and my family for the past four years. We went through ups and downs together and your support meant everything to me. Having the chance to win trophies and the honour of being the captain of this club is something I will forever keep in my heart."
The 32-year-old joined from Borussia Dortmund in January 2018 for a then club-record £60m fee.
Aubameyang maintained that he was focused and committed to Arsenal, adding he wasn't happy to leave the Emirates stadium.
He added:" I have always been 100% focused and committed on doing everything I can for this club which is why leaving without a real goodbye hurts - but that is football. I’m sad I did not get the chance to help my teammates in the last few weeks, but I have nothing but respect for this club and truly wish all my guys and the fans all the best and many successful years in the future! Love, AUBA. "
If you recall that Aubameyang has not played for Arsenal since December 6 after he was stripped off captaincy due to disciplinary issue.
While at Arsenal, Aubameyang scored 92 goals in 163 games for the Gunners and won the FA Cup in 2020.
