Arsenal claim a three points following their dominant first-half display against Leeds United on Sunday afternoon.
Eddie Nketiah's double inside the first 10 minutes set them on the path to victory in front of the Emirates stadium fans.
The Gunners took the lead in the fifth minutes from a horrible howler by Meslier gifts the Gunners an early opener, as Nketiah chases down a big gap to nick the ball off the young goalkeeper's boot inside the six-yard box and turns it into the empty net.
Ten minutes later, Arsenal's striker scores again, after Martinelli charges to the left byline and cuts the ball back into the centre of the box. Nketiah stays cool to divert the ball into the back of the net.
But Leeds woes were compounded after Luke Ayling was sent off for a two-footed lunge on Gabriel Martinelli, after a VAR intervention saw his initial booking upgraded to red card.
In the second half, Leeds were much better and they grabbed a goal back
as Diego Llorente squeezed his strike in at the far post.
But Arsenal clung on as they eventually recorded victory ahead of their North London derby against Tottenham.

ReplyDeleteWhat a match! 🟡🔴 Eddie Nketiah was absolutely brilliant with a quick double inside the first 10 minutes — that early burst really set the tone for Arsenal and showed great composure up front. 💥 It was crazy to see Leeds go down to 10 men fairly early on too, but credit to them for fighting back and making it tense with Llorente’s goal in the second half
