It's was gathered that Brazil football club, Santos football club posted the video of the Brazilian defender at hospital.
If you recall that Alex spent three seasons at Chelsea from 2003 to 2007, scoring 11 goals in 84 games for the West London club.
The 39-year-old retired from the sport in 2016 after a long and successful career playing for Chelsea, PSV Eindhoven, Paris saint Germain and AC Milan.
