The presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, visited the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike in Port Harcourt on Wednesday June 22nd.
It's been gathered that the closed-door meeting lasted for a few hours at the governor’s private residence in Port Harcourt.
Following the meeting, governor Wike was snapped posing Peter Obi as both men exchanged hand shakes.
Peter Obi shared the photos on his Twitter handle with his caption: "Earlier today, I visited Port-Harcourt, to confer with H.E.
@GovWike on vital issues of national interest. -PO."
Recall that there were rumours that Wike may dump the Peoples Democratic Party, due to the fallout overthe presidential primary of the party.
This comes after Wike didn't emerge as running mate for the party’s presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar, ahead of the 2023 general elections.
