Darwin Nunez scores on debut as Liverpool defeats Manchester City 3-1 to claim Community Shield (Highlights)

Liverpool recorded 3-1 win over Manchester City to win the Community Shield at the King Power Stadium. 


The Reds new summer signing Darwin Nunez scored and he created an assist for Jurgen Klopp's men.

Darwin Núñez joined Liverpool for club record signing from Benfica this summer. He scored four goals after he came off the bench in second half in friendly against RB Leipzig.

The Uruguay international continued with his great form scoring off the bench. 

Trent Alexander-Arnold scored from outside the box in the first half to give Liverpool the lead. 

Manchester City equalised in the second half from Julian Alvarez who came off the bench. 

Liverpool's goalkeeper Adrian saved Phil Foden initial effort before Alvarez bundled the ball into the net. 

With the game heading into the closing stages, Liverpool were handed penalty after Ruben Diaz handled the ball from Darwin Nunez header. 

Mohamed Salah converted from the penalty spot before Nunez header in the 90th-minute made it three.
