Michael Chinasa, an indigene of Anambra State, is accused of setting fire to the Oyingbo BRT bus terminal in Lagos during an EndSARS protest in October 2020. His lawyer, Onyebuchi Ezeife, told the court that he should be granted bail because he had not committed any crime since his arrest.

In response, Mrs M.C. Ayinde, magistrate of Ikeja Magistrates Court said that she would take legal advice before granting bail. The prosecution counsel, Insp Segun Oke, however said that the offences were committed in October 2020 at the Oyingbo BRT bus terminal and that it was not yet clear whether they were committed after or before that date.
