Arsenal's £72m flop, Nicolas Pepe return to France

Arsenal have confirmed that Nicolas Pepe has finally completed his move back to France.

The Ivory Coast international has struggled to replicate the form which made Arsenal sign him for club record fee from Lille.

If you remember that the 27-year-old joined Arsenal from French side Lille during the 2019/20 season for fee in region of £72m.

Pepe has called down the pecking order under Mikel Arteta at the Emirates stadium.

He will spend the rest of the 2022-23 season on loan at OGC Nice.

Nicolas Pepe made a total of 111 appearances in all competitions, scoring 27 goals for Arsenal. He won the FA Cup in 2020 as well as Community Shield.
