President Buhari met with representatives of victims of Abuja-Kaduna train abduction in the statehouse, Abuja today August 11.
Recall that terrorists attacked the train on March 28, killing some passengers and abducting several others. The terrorists have been releasing the abducted passengers in batches as they demand a ransom for their release.
The President commended the manner in which Nigerians have been responding to this crisis with sincerity and compassion by offering medical care to those affected by this tragedy, as well as financial assistance to families of those who have died or are still being held hostage by these criminals.
He also called on Nigerians to remain vigilant at all times and assist security agencies in fighting crime and terrorism through collaboration with them through information sharing so that we may all live peacefully together
