"Prayer circle for a goal" - Barcelona request prayer session from fans after goalless draw against Real Vallecano on La Liga opening game of the season

Xavi Hernandez side were held to a 1-1 draw against Real Vallecano in their opening game of the season.

The Blaugrana looked to be in good shape ahead the new La Liga campaign following their performances in their just concluded pre season games.

Barcelona hosted Vallecano at the Camp Nou on Saturday evening in the match day one fixture.

Fans were excited after their summer signings of Robert Lewandowski, Christensen, Raphinha and Frank Kessie made their home debut for the club.

It's understood that Barcelona were able to complete the players registration just before the deadline.

While the game was drawing to close, Barcelona's Twitter handle decided to call for prayer for the club.

The social media handler shared post of candle emoji while requesting that fans say a prayer for their club to score a goal against Real Vallecano who looked resilient.
