Manchester City have confirmed the signing of Spanish left-back Sergio Gomez from Belgian club Anderlecht.
Gomez signed a four-year contract at the Etihad Stadium.
Gomez began his career in the Barcelona's La Masia Academy as an attacking midfielder. He then moved on to Borussia Dortmund.
City will pay a first PS11m ($13m) cost for the 21-year-old , with the possibility for the price to rise even more by way of unspecified additional fees.
Gomez was on loan at Spanish club Huesca before making the move to Anderlecht in the midst of his career, where he played under the former City Captain Vincent Kompany, claiming 15 assists while also being named the player of the year by the club.
