Martial suffers injury after he played 45 minutes for Manchester United against Liverpool

Manchester United have been hit with injury their 26 years old striker ahead of their Premier League clash this weekend.

If you recall that United recorded their first victory this season after they defeated Liverpool 2-1 at Old Trafford stadium on Monday night.

Erik Den Hag seems to have been relieved from the results after he suffered two back to back defeats against Brighton Hove Albion and Brentford respectively.

Meanwhile, United will hope to take the form into their weekend game against Southampton on Saturday afternoon.

Ahead of the game, Erik ten Hag confirms Anthony Martial suffered an Achilles injury and will miss Man Utd vs. Southampton.

The 26-year-old striker had just returned from injury against Liverpool where he played 45 minutes and assisted Rashford's winner

Erik Den Hag said: "Anthony Martial is not fit. He came out with a problem on his Achilles, [coming] out of the game, so we have to wait. I cannot tell a prognosis how long it takes but, of course, I hope that he will be available for the next game [Leicester]."
